Kilets Privacy Policy

What Kilets is
Kilets is a parent-led family learning app developed and operated by JOAT Limited for virtual pocket-money records. It does not store, transfer, or process real money.
Information we collect
Depending on use, we may collect sign-in identifiers, family and membership details, child profile details such as name, birthday, email used to link a child login where provided, virtual balances and activity, wishes, requests, tasks, images, in-app safety reports including the selected category, report details, reporter role, family association, account identifier, and review status, support messages, and technical information needed to operate and secure the service. Images may be selected from the device photo library; task reward images may also use the camera after you choose that feature. If you choose Google or Apple sign-in, the provider may send account identifiers and profile details needed to create or sign in to your Kilets account.
Children’s information
Only an authenticated parent/admin can create a family and decide what child information to add. A child account cannot create a family and can join only after a parent/admin has created and authorized the child profile. Contact support@kilets.com for access, correction, or deletion requests.
Use, storage, and sharing
We use information to provide the family experience, authenticate members, operate cloud database and storage services, provide support, receive and investigate safety reports, and protect the service. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising. Family information and user-added content stays within the relevant family; Kilets is not a public social network or open messaging service. Safety reports may be reviewed by Kilets safety/support personnel. The app does not currently use advertising or analytics SDKs. Firebase and sign-in SDKs may process limited technical or diagnostic information for service operation under their own privacy policies. Kilets uses Firebase/Auth and cloud database/storage services. Authentication may use Firebase Auth and the sign-in provider you choose, such as Google or Apple; those providers handle information under their own privacy policies. Sign-in providers and supporting SDKs may also process account, device, security, or diagnostic information under their own privacy policies. Kilets does not use that information for advertising or tracking.
Passcodes
Family Passcode and Admin Passcode are protected and are not stored in plaintext. Never send a passcode by email.
Retention
We generally keep information while an account or family is active. Safety reports may be retained for a limited period needed to investigate concerns, protect users, and meet legal or operational requirements; eligible information is deleted or de-identified when no longer needed, subject to legal, security, and backup needs.
Deletion and rights
Signed-in users can start account deletion from the pre-family landing screen before joining a family, or from Kilets Settings after joining a family. For a child account, linked child profile and child-scoped data are also removed. Shared family records may remain for other family members. If deletion leaves no active adult member, the family is closed and remaining child profiles are disabled. Additional requests can be made through Account and data deletion or by email. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing.
